After having closed the book - at the moment, there were no new notes from Clara to be read - Ashildr closed her eyes. She needed a moment to herself, enshrouded in silence and darkness, to take in and process what had been thrown at her in these last few hours.
She was separated from Clara and Caten, the TARDIS had shut down, she had barely escaped a pack of killer drones, only to be rescued by an Egyptian god who turned out to be an alien wanting to get home - who convinced her to break into a heavily guarded ruin where she now sat in a forgotten library reading a magical book. Well, not magical, she admitted, but wondrous nonetheless.
Clara's notes were the only means of communication between them - but unfortunaly, most of them did not quite make sense to Ashildr. Among the many names and suspicions she had read, one still echoed in her mind.
