In Japanese, “nisemono” or「偽者」means fake or fraud. It’s not only a title of Ginger Root’s EP, but I’ve been feeling like that recently.
I joined an art club in school. Being there is nice, but there’s a sense in myself that I don’t belong there.
I'm getting weird looks from the club mates because they're real artists, and I'm an imposter or a fraud. In fact, I already have a hater once I showed them my work (i’m not gonna point names for privacy reasons).
I know that AI “art” is stealing from other artists, but I share my work ethically. I keep my prompts open so that anyone can learn and create remixes of my work. I don't even use artists in my prompts (except in certain times, but I use public domain artists instead).
The art club is my last resort in joining clubs, as there aren't anymore available slots in other ones. Even if I leave, there’s nowhere I could go to. No place where I’m accepted.
Anyway, that’s all I could say.
This image shows a sad young artist crying in a vibrant, intricately detailed illustration. The manga-style character is set against a blurred cityscape at night.

Practice drawing without AI. It can always be your inspiration, and don't let other people tell you what "isn't" art.
I believe the art with this comes in the prompting. I can understand how you feel, but don't ever give up on "your" art. We here support you all the way.

🙏 Art is an art. We learn, and try, and FAIL. But if we keep trying and improve, even a little bit and don't quit what we love, then it's a success. DON'T be afraid of failure, some of the best lessons for improving come from our failures. but DON'T quit when you fail! That's MOST of life.💖For each of us, our maximum potential "best" is different. I don't like when people are quick to criticize others but are unwilling to help. It makes me think they're actually insecure about their own position. Also, if they actually cared about the art and have true skill themselves they should be ready to help you improve, NOT put you down. That's what we do in Karate. The higher our skills and knowledge, the greater responsibility we have to help other students to become the best they can. I pray you can find a mentor in your pursuits. 💖 Sorry for talking so long. 🙏
