I have not been here a long time but I do have questions - why are pro creations not allowed in many daily challenges and why do they allow you to use start images if you cannot use them in any other way like challenges? Thank you.

Now I don't feel alone. I definitely try to always reply to comments. @LemonZest may I add the notifications some of us receive when users use our LoRa's. Now I only have them on for my last couple newer ones. That alone is insurmountable. I hate missing so many creations. When I go to the Explore page it seems I can almost always find the same people in the same place. I would like if we as a whole maybe visit pages, like,, then just add a comment or two with a hello, great job and a simple meaningful comment. This frees up time on the wonderful recipients that also always reply. I could visit and appreciate a lot more than I do now. Thank you for letting me share my 2 cents.

the alert system needs each category kept separate, e.g. comments; chat; mentions; replies; and so on-- that would be a huge improvement!

i get flustered with how time consuming it is to wade through the alerts- like, once i have opened one could it like go to the bottom of the pile?

i dont know about the other stuff you talked about, my pictures never get enough attention to make front page (apparently) but i always see friends with average likes (odd)

last thing: i have begun trying to reply straight at the picture & bypass alerts, but that doesn't alleviate follow-up comments, hence the need to separate comment types

I do participate in the Daily Challenge every day. I keep my designs simple. It does take time to judge the art, but I try to handle challenges at night, if possible. It helps make sure I am visiting the site daily and maintaining my daily streak.

Interesting insights, Zest. Staying on top of comments and replies is also a big issue for me. I get so much engagement, it's hard to track who to follow up with. I get emails, but don't use them. I get notifications, but it's also hard to keep track of where you are in responding back. Lately, I just try to respond back to those who recently replied. As for replying to comments, anytime I pull up an image, I try to respond to any open comments on the thread.

I read carefully your concerns my friend. Im pretty sure they're gonna fix many of them. As one of the most popular users here I've decided for over six months to limit my published images to 1-2 per day. Every morning i have a 3digits feed notification and takes me so much time to deal. Sometimes missing many things but I've made my own algorithm to deal. So visit almost always my 15-20 NC friends to see their work and comment. Sometimes i need over 4 hours to reply. Always reply. For me is an obligation as a minimum appreciation for the time someone spent to comment. But this does not mean that wait the same from others. Do what you like the most without "Musts". We are here for fun and some times the pressure is big and this is wrong

All excellent points. To perhaps state the obvious, I'm still only here because of people like you - individual people/connections based on affinity, etc. The people who run this place? They've given me ev👏er👏y👏rea👏son to bail on them.

I’m also having a hard time with notifications and trying to catch up 😵‍💫😵‍💫 I seldom look at explore page as they mainly feature people with high followers but posts with many likes and sometimes the same post is there. I’ve written to NC for special button on those creators I want to follow closely. No reply.
