“Where the Wind Remembers”

The last light of day stretched across the prairie like a sacred song, golden and endless. Tahu Wíyakpa—Wind with Feathers—rode silently beneath the heavy sky, his lance crowned with eagle plumes that danced like prayers in the gathering dusk. His Appaloosa horse moved with the grace of a shadow, weaving through the tallgrass as though it too remembered every ancestor that once passed this way.

He rode not to war, but to memory.

At the rise ahead stood a lone figure, distant but waiting—a brother, a vision, or perhaps a spirit summoned by the quiet. The sky, painted in storm and fire, bore witness to something older than war and deeper than blood.
