Inventor Johnathon Cavalry demonstrating his 1901 "Champion Effluvia Collector". It's purpose was to collect methane "waste" and repurpose it for household heating and cooking.

At Fairs and Expositions, Mr. Cavalry was known to overindulge in garlic and broccoli the evening before a showing and often sickened crowds gathered to see and hear the great man's works.
(it leaked horrendously)
