A dramatic scene of elves and rangers observing a tornado being drawn into a cave. The tornado appears menacing, with an evil face formed from clouds and wind. The image is highly detailed.

While the old men dawdled and chortled, Morfinniel and Estelthel studied the ground.
"We have to draw it back on us," Estelthel announced after they had deliberated.
"Are ye daft?" Erithir blurted out, wishing he hadn't when he drew Morfinniel's sharp look.
"She's right," Malrin said. "Timing is everything. Winyara can't get there too soon, and we are now the largest group."
Therril and Erithir exchanged a glance, but they did not argue. Malfinniel and Esteldir looked worried. Or was Esteldir just thinking too hard?
"Aendir and Arndir, you are to go back now to the East Road where you will wait for and position the others," Aendaer said. "When Winyara comes, have them move on-line north to our location the Bruinen Gorges. They must maintain their intervals and travel on-line before collapsing towards the cave."
"But what will you be doing?" Arndir asked. He was met with silence and the disapproving yet concerned look of his father, Aendir.

Although it broke her heart to do so yet again, Rothruinthel parted from her children as she and Adrahil broke left up a draw. She knew that Dúvenion would protect the children, but that isn't what bothered her. She hadn't been there for them. But there was no time for such sad thoughts. Winyara was upon them, and they had to outrun the wind.
It was Nathanar who was the first to notice that Winyara was no longer on their heels. He signaled to Farren and Maethel, and the group slowed their horses to a walk.
"It's not much farther to the Great East Road," Maethel said.
"Aye, but that depends on whether we're going there on the most direct route or not," Farren replied. She silently fumed, but she knew he was right to say so. The goal was for everyone to make it to the Great East Road at about the same time, and everyone needed to keep moving until then so as to mislead Winyara.
