OMG I'm a therian too! Though I agree that this definition isn't accurate. I'm a brown timber wolf, red fox, Andean cat, Norwegian forest cat, and river otter therian :3

This definition is incorrect. A Therian is someone who identifies as an animal. The animal they identify as is called their theriotype. There are many reasons why, not only past lives. Sometimes they feel as though they have the soul of an animal for example. Therianthropy isn’t a choice, too, it’s an an Identity. Having shifts(not swaps) is a common experience in the community, but just because you shift doesn’t make you a Therian, and not all Therians shift. There are many types of shifts, such as phantom shifts. Another thing is gear: not all Therians have gear, and just because you have gear doesn’t make you a Therian. Also, Therians are not furries. Anyway, all of this to say do your research before spreading knowledge.

This is completely fake! A therian is a person who identifies as an animal due to animalistic instincts. You cannot choose to be a therian. It is not just past lives. It is either spiritual or psychological. You do not act like an animal when you”swap” it’s called shifting. Shifting is when you have a more animalistic mindset. Not acting like one. And also, gear doesn’t make you a therian. If you want to talk about therians, do your research. It’s not all fun and games. Some therians do shift, some don’t. There is also a thing called species Dysforia. Species Dysforia makes you want to be animal and hate being human. Not all therians have species Dysforia. Do research before saying, even if you’re in the therian community

I would like to say therian is a bit diff thing: not every therian has past lifes and the thing you call "switsh" is called shift. Also not every shift is mental shift.
