Here's a version of the antagonistic dragon for the first part of Magic Quest. The Violet Ebony Dragon. Here's the lore.
Violet Ebonies are piles of living black & purple slime that can use anything around them to grant them shape and attributes depending on the choice. Their weaknesses are freezing over and then not thawing out at the right speed, ice-spitting beasts, or a Midnight Storm dragon. Here, the Ebony took an Ember Streak dragon skeleton as its own. Using this, it gained a new body that could fly, spit beams of purple flames, and became a vicious hunter. Because of its massive power, Lilian's mother managed to use a spell and keep it as a guard to make sure Lilian couldn't get out until she was skilled enough nor could anyone unwanted get into Ebony Castle.
