I look in on her, on occasion, my sire assured me the cage was impenetrable, but experience has taught me that nothing is without flaws and vulnerabilities.

Her prison holds and, as such, so does my nearly limitless life and power. The ealflae refuses to speak and yet she rarely stops singing.. an altogether too pleasant voice, ensorcelling. If I could enter her gilded cage I would muzzle the witch.

How my ancestors managed to capture her, how the cage was constructed, is lost to time, which is a great misfortune. Such power should be preserved.

I cannot undo the mistakes of my forebears, but I can learn from them. I can outshine them all. I can become the sole master of this world, perhaps, in time, of all worlds.
