This is my favorite scene from my favorite post-war noir film, "***The Strange And Instantaneous Wealth And Technical Prowess of One Very Mysterious Doctor VonBoom.***"

This is the scene where he attempts, by guile and implied threats to explain that he is not building a doom machine, has *no intention* of building a doom machine, and also that he has no idea what the crate in his parlor is doing there.

After this, there is a swell fight scene where he bites the government agent's knee.
