“He kept his promise — her heart still blooms, and it’s still hungry.”

.....she promised him she’d never leave, and people say he couldn’t bear to let her go.

So he buried her heart in the garden, planted what was left of her, right at the spot where she used to kneel down and pray, asking for divine guidance.

It grew back, they whisper. Veins turned to roots, and the bloom began to breathe. Some nights, when the wind dies, you can still hear him whisper to it… and it answers. But it stopped praying, all her kind heart remembered was hunger....

..the last thing you will hear is a flickering heartbeat when he drags you back into his garden. Back to her, back to water his most precious plant.
