I never wanted to be this. I didn't want this. I was hurt and scared, so I grew cold and distant. I tried to distance myself from those who'd hurt me. But- It wasn't enough. I am someone to be feared and respected... because at one point all I wanted was to feel safe. That never happened. So I became someone who wouldn't have to worry about being hurt by others.
