April 12, 1991: "Today marks the opening of two controversial Disney projects: the opening of Euro Disney in Paris, and the first day of service for Robert Mazurski, the 'Disneyland Esper,' as chief of security for the park. Robert Marzurski is the third identified pericognitive esper, able to sense events happening 'in the now.' 'Nobody wants a precog,' Robert jokes, 'and all the postcogs have been snapped up by the highest bidder. Now is the time for "Perry" to have his day.'" So the old news story goes. Robert retired April 12, 2000. He hasn't given an interview since; it's not even clear if he's still alive. Disneyland accidents and mishaps had fallen to zero by 1996, then Disney World accidents by 1997. Paula was there by 1997, but... well, even with her, Robert was by all accounts on his last nerve. Rumors persist he retired due to developing an alprazolam tolerance so high he straight-up couldn't get to sleep anymore. Wherever he is, I hope he's happy.
This image shows a security guard in a 1990s office, blindfolded and wearing earmuffs, facing a vintage Macintosh computer. This photorealistic image evokes a sense of retro-futurism and surrealism.
