Masks of the Century

This image argues that history may be more of a recursive circle than a straight line. By placing 17th-century soldiers in a 21st-century urban battlefield, the artist highlights that although we have traded horses for skyscrapers and leather for digital grids, we are still grappling with the same issues of security, identity, and organized conflict that defined us hundreds of years ago.
