Oh I love that: "you are everything and nothing." We are pure being, which is the substance of every thing, yet not a "thing" itself. Paradoxical, but so profound. Sometimes my favorite analogy for helping the mind "understand" the nature of reality is the dream state, where all the characters in the dream think they're separate individuals and yet they are all made of the dreamer's mind. So in effect, part of "God's dream." Rupert Spira, in his book, The Nature of Consciousness, uses this metaphor in extended ways quite beautifully. Who else did the One Living God compare Himself to?

Not sure what you mean, but I do find particularly beautiful and profound in the Bible where god says "I am that I am." Though I think the Old Testament God seems rather childish and emotional. And luckily for the would-be manipulative and often misogynistic patriarchal church organizations, it's a "He" and not a "She." To some extent I think this arrangement is a case of humans creating God in their own image rather than accepting God's incomprehensibility. Or the idea that God comprises Everything, including each of us. 

The story goes that shortly before or after his death, when he found himself in the presence of God, he said: "I who have been so many men in vain want to be one man only, myself." The voice of God answered him out of a whirlwind: "Neither am I what I am. I dreamed the world the way you dreamt your plays, dear Shakespeare. You are one of the shapes of my dreams: like me, you are everything and nothing."
