SATYRN RETYRNS Try-Outs

This story is just about to be reengaged as my always-intended-never-executed Ode to a Hyperviolent Fictitious Canuck if BWS had continued and expanded his take on Weapon X. That's what Silencer was always intended to be: a love letter to Logan, the Wolverine. The first piece of fanfic I ever wrote was Rom the fkn Space Knight, in around 1977, but the second was for an English Creative Writing assignment in Grade 6, which was around 1982 or 3, for me: a film noir detective story featuring Wolverine and supporting mutants. The title? Tag, Y'er Dead. I was already thinking I needed to start creating my own characters, because even at age 13, I could work out that Marvel wasn't going to illustrate and publish my horrible, hackneyed, trope-laden, verging-on-plageuristic fanwankling of a short story. But NOVA ideas included a 95% cybernetic assassin called Silencer, later of the Firing Squad, but predating them by four or five years.
