Jean Henri Gaston Giraud (8 May 1938 – 10 March 2012) was a French artist, cartoonist and writer who worked in the Franco-Belgian bandes dessinées (BD) tradition. Giraud garnered worldwide acclaim predominantly under the pseudonym Mœbius for his fantasy/science-fiction work. Astounding idea! I love it! I became away of Moebius' work from the thousands of concepts he produced for Jodorowsky's Dune, some of which went on to influence the design of the 1984 Lynch version. Visionary!
