We have a couple of gargoyles on the top of our house. The builder and previous owner of the house put them there. Not my kind of thing but they are there. If the top of the roof wasn't 60 ft high, I would have taken them down, but maybe they are protecting our house??? 

i just remember being struck in Paris by them.
