Very poignant and relatable. It doesn't matter where you live and grow up. The cruelty, which kids can dish out I think is universal. I too was crap at sports and was often last to be picked by the popular captains. This also carried over into the classrooms whenever there was some kind of academic competition. As well as the focus of certain bullies. I guess I was an easy mark. Looking back on it all now, I see that my dislike for school had nothing to do with academics but it was all socialization. Your story mirrors a lot of kids lives I'm afraid.
