The Arnaboldi sisters lived in Lambrate, a neighborhood in Milan, Italy, in the first half of the 20th century. Owners of a renowned butcher's shop, they miraculously managed to save their business in the immediate postwar period.
This is the only non-restored photograph that has come down to us. (Courtesy of the Arnaboldi Heirs Foundation.)

The faded sepia is great but the cracks, creases delamination and wear marks are excellent and do a fantastic job of selling the age of the piece! π
