Frond

Lore & Behavior: Fronds are fiercely territorial, using their icy pea projectiles to slow and harass intruders before finishing them off with thorned vine lashes. They often act as the guardians of Sprig pods, defending their weaker kin from predators. In the wild, they are known to create communal “frost gardens”—rings of chilled soil where their presence permanently lowers the temperature, creating microclimates that support only frost-tolerant plants. Druids sometimes interpret Fronds as heralds of early frost or omens of long winters.
