This is just for screaming into the void. You might as well disregard it. This is how I feel regarding community challenges. I understand that the chances to win a challenge of 1000 and more participators is slim to none.
I would say it isn't exactly that I don't win. It's a challenge and I am very okay with that. What really grinds my gears is that they NC shows rough voting average over all votes for your image. For my creations the average is often
2.57 out of 5
Statistically that means I don't even hit okay-ish-ness with a 3 but instead most voters press this button

Given the topics I tap the ideas of my creations, I do know it's not for everyone. I don't submit these images either (with a few exceptions where appropriate). But I don't have the feeling they are sub-average.
I guess I have a lot to learn on NC or maybe I just should leave the grind that is the gamification of NC with earning n¢ and getting praise, currying favors etc.

Well...if you look at the works of the winners of daily challenges, you will notice that they are often few different. Why ? I don't know. You will also remark that cute pictures are often very liked. But is it so important ? Your pictures are very interesting . This is the essentiel.
