She wondered how she ended up with this assignment. This wasn't exactly what she had in mind when she went to work that morning. But here she was, assigned to report on the local Polar Bear Club and their annual New Year's Day Polar Plunge. She didn't think much of it till she got there and they were looking for her to join in and interview the club founder. She had on boots and at first rolled up her jeans, but he was a lot further in than she expected. So she unrolled her jeans and waded in. She was well past her knees when she met him for the interview. The water was cold but not as bad as she expected, and it wasn't long before she began to enjoy getting herself wet for this story. She eventually waded back out with a big smile. Maybe this wasn't such a bad assignment after all!
