"Are these hooves?", the magician startles the wolf inside a hollow oak tree.
Wolf: "I don't fit patterns. I'm enchanted."
Mage: "Ich bin auch verzaubert!"
Wolf: "I figured."
Mage: "You have been watching me, too! How do you know?"
Wolf: "In this forest looks mirror the heart."
Mage: "Right...", his eyes sadden with curiosity, "Why did you come down to the dark parts?"
Wolf: "Why did you come up to the vibrant ones?"
Mage: "Want to come with me?"
Wolf: "You know, I can't."
The mage takes out his wand. "Simsala!" The invisible barrier crumbles. "That should do it for a week."
Wolf: "I still can't. The colors."
Mage: "I'm good at destracting fear."
Wolf : "Hop on, then."
Mage: "Really?"
Wolf: "Good, you're still young at heart. Just don't tame me."
Mage: "Big bad wolf, huh? What...?! We can't walk in the enchanted water!"
Wolf: "Why do you think I have hooves?"
Mage: "But I don't know what's up the creek!"
Wolf: "Makes two of us."

A majestic man rides a wolf-like creature through a richly detailed enchanted forest, with mesmerizing light effects and highly textured skin, clothes, and fur. The scene is painted in a style reminiscent of rich oil paints with deep, moody shadows and a dynamic, fierce lighting effect.

Now I finally have something to say and I'm reading the stories again at my leisure. I think you've adjusted this prelude again, haven't you? I understand it better now – but maybe that's because it's the second time I've read it or because I'm no longer feverish. I love non-linear narration and think it's great that you've given the stories this framing story with our fictional counterparts. A great realization of the real events in this fantasy story. And of course I love the picture. I'm happy about the implicit dedications like the fact that you chose my favorite colors for the frame story and that you make me a magician, which fits for various reasons (my great idol Thomas Mann was nicknamed “der Zauberer”, in role-playing games I usually prefer magical classes and I love glowing magical effects in pictures, movies and computer games). In addition, the picture is very impressive: riding on an animal often doesn't work so well in AI images. Here it has been perfectly achieved.
Dedicated to Finni @Finni90s and of course the other 9 pictures of that story sofor you find in the linked collection.
