Born from the devotion of countless Mochkin and Minomaru who sought spiritual perfection, they now serve as protectors of sacred springs and temple peaks. Their presence warms frozen lands, but they demand tribute — not in gold, but in sincerity. Those who lie in their presence find their breath stolen away by choking steam, while the truthful are warmed to their bones. They are contemplative beings, rarely violent unless provoked, yet their wrath is legendary: entire valleys have been scalded into barren plains when mortals defiled sacred grounds. It is said that a single exhale from Minokami can turn despair into courage — or flesh into ash.
