The flag dropped, and the racers launched forward into the night. The tires screamed against the asphalt, and the cars surged ahead, their engines roaring like beasts set loose on the city. Will’s Supra shot forward, the turbo spooling up, pushing him back in his seat as he hit 100 km/h in seconds. The city lights blurred past in neon streaks as the cars hurtled down the C1 Loop, weaving in and out of the narrow lanes, their headlights cutting through the darkness.

The racers tore through the city at breakneck speed, the engines of RX-7s, Skylines, Supras, and 180SXs blending into a cacophony of noise that echoed off the surrounding skyscrapers. Will’s hands were steady on the wheel, his mind focused, every instinct trained on the road ahead.

The C1 Loop was a dangerous track at these speeds—sharp turns, sudden merges, and elevated highways where one mistake could send a car flying off the edge. Will had memorized every inch of it, his father’s lessons in control and precision ringing in his ears. Control the speed, don’t let it control you.

Up ahead, Will could see the first signs of trouble. Flashing red and blue lights in the distance—the police had already set up their roadblocks, their headlights glaring like eyes in the dark. He tapped his comms, his voice crackling through the radio to Sho.

“Cops ahead. They’re already waiting.”

Sho’s voice came through, steady but tense. “We keep pushing. They’re not taking us down tonight.”

The first wave of racers broke through the roadblocks, swerving around the police cars, the sirens blaring in a futile attempt to stop them. Will gritted his teeth, slamming on the gas as his Supra shot past the flashing lights, barely missing one of the patrol cars as it swerved into his lane. His tires screeched, and for a moment, he felt the car start to lose traction. But he corrected, the Supra’s suspension holding steady as he powered through the corner.

Behind him, he heard the first crash—a racer, unable to swerve in time, slammed head-on into a police car. The sound of metal on metal, followed by an explosion, sent a shockwave of adrenaline through Will’s veins. There was no going back now.

The engines screamed to life, their roars reverberating through the dimly lit streets of Tokyo as the racers lined up on the C1 Loop. The night was alive with tension, the sky hanging heavy with the promise of something cataclysmic. The racers could feel it—the unspoken knowledge that tonight wouldn’t be like any other race. The police were hunting them, and everyone knew it.

Will gripped the wheel of his Supra, his heart pounding in sync with the rhythmic hum of the engine. To his right, Sho sat in his Nissan Skyline, revving his engine, the two cars vibrating with the power ready to be unleashed. Will glanced over, meeting Sho’s eyes. For a moment, they were rivals again, but tonight, they were something more—allies. In a race where the stakes were as high as they could get, they would need to watch each other's backs.

Sho gave Will a brief nod. They didn’t need words. They both knew what lay ahead.
