Nyx ~ an ancient guardian, once born to protect the Veilstone Sanctum, a hidden realm deep beneath the old city. His essence was carved from obsidian-like stone and fused with primal warding runes, making him an eternal sentinel for a long-dead order of runepriests.

When that sanctum fell to ruin — betrayed from within — Nyx was bound to a desperate survival ritual by a dying priesthood. The ritual fractured his spirit, anchoring him to a bloodline.
