"Flight of the Sinnerman" is a visual interpretation of Nina Simone's haunting song, "Sinnerman." In creating this piece, I sought to capture the essence of a soul in turmoil, fleeing from judgment and seeking refuge. Inspired by Marc Chagall's surreal and poetic style, I aimed to portray the sinner's journey through a fantastical landscape filled with symbolism and emotional depth.

The shifting backgrounds, from sea to rock, represent the endless search for sanctuary and the relentless pursuit of redemption. The interplay of divine and demonic forces in the sky underscores the spiritual battle within the sinner's heart. Through vibrant colors and fluid forms, I wanted to convey the urgency and desperation of the sinner's flight, while also hinting at the possibility of hope and forgiveness.
