The Aetherium Weave-Spider!

Appearance: A large, spider-like creature with a carapace that resembles shifting constellations. Instead of traditional silk, it spins threads of pure, solidified moonlight, which look like delicate, shimmering glass.

Habitat: Deep, perpetually dark forests or high mountain peaks where the moonlight is strongest.

Magical Ability: The silk it produces isn't just beautiful; it can absorb and store ambient starlight and moonlight. When the strands break, the stored light is released in a blinding flash, disorienting predators. The weave is also incredibly strong and is highly prized by mages for creating ethereal, lightweight armour that offers protection against shadow magic.

Behaviour: They are solitary hunters that rarely interact with other species, communicating through complex vibrations in their metallic-sounding webs.
