The Militello sisters, Concetta and Rosalia, lived in the small town of Avvalanchi in the province of Agrigento, Sicily.

Legendary for their beauty, they received marriage proposals from hundreds of suitors, but they rejected them all.

They locked themselves in their homes, and from then on their carefree laughter could be heard in the streets of Avvalanchi. A real mystery that no one ever managed to solve.

Here we present a portrait of Rosalia reconstructed according to the testimonies of the time: unfortunately, we do not know how true to reality -- we can only imagine it.
