Every now and then I wake up in a cold sweat. It's always the same dream. The world is going down, floods, draughts, fire. People screaming, starving, drowning. And then other sounds start to mingle with the cacophony of disaster. First I think it's the sound of startled seagulls, but then I recognize the clinking of champagne glasses, joyful classical music and laughter.
