Purlmin Pierce (3668-71)

Independent Portan manufacturer Purlmin started extraordinarily well in the space market with the Pierce, a finely honed vessel 'more like a home than a ship,' and reasonably fast. The miniaturized Leap drive, capable of a one-hour to Immermarsh, sealed the stylish package for the buyer. Unfortunately, the Shred Incursion reoriented production planet-wide, and smaller assembly lines like Purlmin's were purchased for three or four times their value in the Church and Portan Fleets' haste to produce fighters, shuttles, and small craft for the reorganizing and expanding Portan Combined Fleet. Lakrisha Purlmin retired in luxury and the marque was never reestablished.
