No shipping Harry and Hermione! That's such a film-induced idea. J.K. Rowling would have to rewrite her entire series to make that happen. She foreshadowed the Harry-Ginny/Ron-Hermione matches from her first book and developed the characters with that ending in mind. Ginny is the perfect match for Harry, particularly in temperament, which becomes obvious as she gets older. Hermione wants a home where she can knit, cook and enjoy the warmth of a large, secure family while she pursues impractical hobbies and reads. Ron represents all of that and is placidly tolerant of her bookish and grumpy nature. Hermione and Harry would be miserable with each other in a marriage relationship, even if Emma Watson grew up better looking than Bonnie Wright. 😝
