I lived in El Paso, Texas for several years. The road to Alamogordo, New Mexico passed through desert that was particularly devoid of any large trees... except for one large cottonwood tree that had been there for a long time. Some wiseacre painted the "Oro Grande National  Forest" sign and posted it next to the tree. I was particularly amused by that. 

There were signs in some areas along that road talking about this place or that place that actually touted how many trees were there.

Thank you very much for this humorous response. I appreciate your testimony. I believe that every being has within them the memory of having one day loved a tree, either as a child because we climbed on it or played around it, or as an adult because we were amazed by its splendor or rested under it. Not to mention the lovers who left their initials engraved on it. And without forgetting Isaac Newton and his famous apple. It was a real pleasure to talk with you. 🙏✌️😎 B.
