This cult-like society was led by an iron-fisted Council who possessed rudimentary, weak mind-control powers, which they used to keep their followers compliant and docile. Elara, however, was a genetic anomaly: she was born with a naturally amplified and overwhelming version of their psychic gift.

The Catalyst The Council quickly grew to fear her raw, unmanageable potential, seeing her as a threat to their established order. They attempted to "purify" her power in a grueling, painful ritual intended to strip her of her emotional control abilities entirely.

The ritual went horribly wrong. Instead of weakening her, the agony and panic of the procedure caused a psychic explosion, instantly unlocking her full, devastating potential. Her Emotional Aura roared to life, leaving her with the power to instantaneously induce both debilitating fear and overwhelming, irrational obsession in others.

The Persona In a moment of pure survival, she used her new power to make the entire Council instantly turn on one another, resulting in a violent, chaotic end to their false "reign." She then walked away from the ruins of her former life.

She took the name Purple Reign to symbolize the absolute, total control she now holds over her own mind and destiny. She operates with a cold, regal air, seeking to dismantle any organization or individual that uses emotional manipulation to enslave or exploit others.
