Garrunis had held the dream long between his teeth. It had struck him only once, in the dead of night, like a black bolt that left him sweating and shivering simultaneously, as he clawed his way up from the sheets.
An apocalyptic calamity from the skies was coming, Genova. A dark angel that used dead worlds like chariots to search the cosmos for a fabled paradise. Garrunis searched the world over to gather on to him eidolons powerful enough to withstand such a terrible arch foe.
In the frozen Northlands, where nothing dwelt, Garrunis' dowse augur vibrated hungrily, whining like a tuning fork as Kaobalos, dragon fiend of the planet core, emerged before him in awesome pyroclastic fury.
Could Garrunis tame this titan of the deep core? Could the terrible doom of Genova be averted?
