Lethe

In Greek mythology, Lethe (in classical greek means forgetfulness or oblivion). She is the personification of forgetfulness and oblivion, daughter of Eris (goddess of strife), with no father mentioned. Lethe is also the name of one of the rivers of the underworld of Hades. The river Lethe flowed around the cave of Hypnos and through the Underworld where all those who drank from it experienced complete forgetfulness, in myth souls only could go forward in the underworld or reincarnation after they drank from the Lethe which would wash away all their memories.
