Her dreams swerve past, like a glass vase falling and shattering into many pieces-it takes a while to pick them all back up. As she bows, Kiko takes in the tranquil atmosphere of earth: How the snow feels beneath her shoes, how the frostbite air nips at her skin, and how the wind tugs at her plumage. And her swords humming handle keeps her stable through it all. The leaves remind her of the color of her mothers eyes, before she turned to iniquity. Her overall stability was corrupted by pride and greed. She never learned to love, and that left to death. As Kiko kneels in front of her mothers tomb, she risks vulnerability, but gains the sense of loyalty and good deed. She exhales, but does not move, so instead she says, "You did well Okasan. You cherished what you did, even if others thought it horrid. I admire your vengeance. I hold deep regard for you, farewell." And with that, she left, sliding her sword gently into place.
