Pelton declined to join the trend of the 'space-car,' having no experience with wheeled vehicles. Instead, the company reached back to the '20s and borrowed the technology from Murk's City Scamp flying car to make the Oracle.

It was well-received, since the 'convertible' spacecraft required a roadway or at least a flat surface on-planet. The Oracle had no such restriction, making a completely versatile family tourer which offered an alternative to wheeled 'space-cars.'

In addition, Pelton successfully miniaturized a Dama III drive in a different and more efficient way, making the Oracle almost as fast as Ronwell's Switch.
