The Acidum Roseum Latum Folium is a carnivorous plant that operates differently than most carnivorous plants. The 'mouth' does not swallow insects or small animals, instead it points upwards and turns whatever leaves and foliage that fall into it, into an acidic substance. The acid is then excreted through the leaves where it pools, the sweet smell attracts animals that are paralyzed by the substance and then slowly dissolve into the pooled acid. The dissolved bodies seep into the soil with the acid where the plant uses the nutrients to grow. Other plants can 'piggyback' off of this system as long as they grow quite close to the stem of the plant so as to avoid the acid themselves.

Awesome and very interesting information. I wasn't aware of this particular beastly flora so thanks for the learning opportunity
