Chapter 16 -- Return to Fellvale ; Part nine

Satisfied of Ezion's credentials, which were further cemented by a letter of introduction from Queen Estelle, Dath gestured to the admiral, Kedemar and Haeil. Nat and Myra had already returned to the manor with their guards. "Come, walk with me." Dath said. The three younger men fell in step beside and behind the king as he strode through the streets of Dinfel Crag. As they walked, Dath explained to Ezion the dire situation Kenrath-- and Gibethon as a whole-- was in. Ezion listened thoughtfully, but didn't speak until Dath had finished. Only then did Admiral Ezion ad Waeran give his wise strategy. "I will leave half of my men on shore with you, and engage the Kathiran fleet with my ships. You may send whoever you wish of your captains and officers to sail with me. You, m'liege, will command what men are left on shore. We will fight with all we are, but any enemy ships that slip past us and reach the shore will be yours to deal with. We will not be able to aid you without harming you."
