As Andreas, Sophia and Manuel stayed in Italy the Hope became smaller and smaller, and Sophia grew... SAhe became very kin on antiquity (No wonder, she is Niece of Roman Emperor), art and literature... Some believe, on men company too, but there are no sources... Palaeologues converted into Catholicism, by Papal insist, but even this did not Help. She was bethrothed already to two men, but both died very fastly. (Margaery, hello!) Andreas was desperately trying to find an ally, for this he decided to use Sophia's marruisage as way. He and the Pope (In whose palace and on whose money "The Basileus of Romeans" lived on decided to make a proposal for recently widowed Grand Prince (Great Knyaz) of Moscow Ivan the Third Riourikid (Or Riurikovich) who was 15 years older than Sophia (His first wife, Maria of Tver, salso Riourikid, just anotherline of dynsasty, recently died in age of twenty five, probably of poison)..
