Bernstein conducted probably the best version of "Tristan und Isolde" that I have (and I have *many*). He was a great divulger, as well as a phenomenal conductor and an extraordinary composer (for a long time the CD of "West Side Story" was the most listened to on my hi-fi system).

I have always loved him madly. Great Lenny. 💖
