Mistbound Stalker

The Mistbound Stalker lurks in the deepest sections of the fog, blending in so perfectly that its outline is often indiscernible until it is almost too late. Its slow, deliberate movements create the false impression of safety, as it silently glides through the mist, patiently waiting to pounce on anything that breathes too loudly or moves too quickly.

Its head is featureless except for a massive, gaping mouth that stretches unnaturally wide, filled with rows of sharp, needle-like teeth. Its jaw unhinges, emitting an eerie, wheezing sound with each labored breath, as though it’s constantly gasping for air. Its eyes are small, pinprick-like dots of glowing white light that peer out from the mist, giving it a ghostly, ethereal appearance. The Stalker’s body is gaunt, with emaciated ribs pressing against its skin, though it moves with terrifying speed and agility when it detects prey. It is constantly dripping with condensation, leaving wet footprints in its wake, and its very presence seems to chill the air, as if the fog surrounding it brings with it the cold of the grave.
