Moldfang Reaper

Behavior/Lore: Moldfang Reapers are feared apex predators in abandoned ruins and subterranean caverns. They hunt with precision, stalking prey for days and infecting them with spores that gradually weaken their bodies. When food is scarce, they cultivate colonies of fungi and parasitic molds, feeding off the rot until suitable prey wanders too close. Many druids consider them corrupted guardians of rot and rebirth, while necromancers see them as perfect pets. Entire villages have been abandoned after one settled nearby, leaving only overgrown webs and mushroom-choked corpses behind.
