We march dressed for battle with packs supply laden upon our packs and path lit only by torchlight. We march through field and fen; across brook and up hilled hollow; heading forward waiting for the first signs of tomorrow. The miles pass and yet our marches end has yet to come, what will be there when we are done?

No-Theme Thursday

I appreciate art, in all is forms, I enjoy each piece and strive to understand the process by which each was created and how the medium was brought together into its final form.

However, I got one piece into my shop oneday, a piece of grotesque macabre work of body horror whose subject were of twisted malformed men and women clinging together in a monstrous heap that towered higher than a man is tall. I could not find joyful appreciation in this strange putrid piece only a perverse appeal that drew me in as it revolted me. 

It was like I was enjoying the sickening way it disturbed me and made we feel as if I were going to lose my meals. Eventually, I steadied my stomach and approached the work, finding it to be a waxy clay it was made up of and still malleable to the touch. How lifelike the creatures all were but impossibly deformed to be real. 

I couldn't help myself, I picked away at the material, I needed to know more as layer and layer came away until I struck living flesh.
