As the princess hovered at the edge of the valley, the air grew heavier, charged with a strange energy. Clouds drifted unnaturally low, curling around her wings like soft hands trying to guide — or perhaps warn — her. Somewhere beyond this veil, hidden in the stormlight, the light dragons slept.

She took a deep breath, tightened the grip on her staff, and flew forward, deeper into the unknown.
