Extremely bright and colorful supernova

Thinking about random physics stuff. Did you know if there was somehow a high enough mass of uranium that it could enter fusion that it'd instantly go supernova (Obviously since suns start to die when iron begins being fused and uranium is a heavier element) but if a sun could fuse uranium it would actually consume massive amounts of heat and take immense outward pressure to keep the reaction going. The resulting star would be brilliant bright blue to white and be hotter than anything known.
