When I close my eyes, the particles take forms and dance around me, sharing information. I am but a pattern among them, ever changing 

That sounds very peaceful to me in a time of great duress!  I can't meditate well anymore and have to exercise all day (impossible ATM) to clear my mind and relax.

I am mostly at the edge of this and spend a lot of energy to be present in the physical reality. It is not very mystical, it is literally like breaks of perception where everything is just like pieces of dust or so, and I loose track of what is going on. It irritates some people and I stopped explaining, it is easier to just get everything from the context and pretend to be the "standard" variation. It must be difficult when you have actual pain and worries, I get that our brain will prioritize this and keep you locked where you are.
