Beautiful! I like the respectful rendering with the buffalo. To our people the area’s resources (obsidian cliffs, hunting grounds, thermal features) were all integrated into life and spirituality — not isolated from belief. We saw the land as relational and alive.
We respected the land not merely as resource but as a living relative. The springs and steam-vents were part of a network of life, spirit, ancestors and nature.
Access to these places, to the natural phenomena, was a way of staying in balance with the world — honoring the past and living responsibly in the present. Gladly following to support your works because of this piece.
